Live-fire screen units

Live-fire screen units come in three standard sizes.

Nitor can supply a range of live-fire screen units designed specifically for use with PRISim simulators.

Our screen units are available in three standard sizes—2,400 mm, 3,500 mm and 4,500 mm widths—or we can make custom sizes to suit your requirements. Each screen unit is supplied with either two rolls of specialist foil-reinforced high-brightness paper, or with ‘patch out’ card.

Panoramic screens

Nitor can provide multi-section screen units for panoramic and 180-degree simulators. These screen units consist of a centre screen and either two or four flanking screen sections.

The panoramic screen unit consists of a central screen section, flanked on either side by two outer screen sections.

Paper drive and control systems

The screen units come with DC control for lights and the paper drive mechanism. Computer-based control, through an RS-232 interface, is available as an option.

Lights and fittings can be either tungsten, infrared, or fluorescent, or any combination of these three. Our screen units are normally configured to operate from 220/240-volts mains power. 110/120-volts versions can be provided on request.

Paper and card

The foil-reinforced high-brightness paper rolls are available ‘ex-stock’ in 1,880 mm and 2,235 mm widths. Each roll of paper is 50 metres long.

If you are looking for a low-cost alternative compared to paper, try our replaceable ‘patch out’ card. Bullet holes can be quickly and easily hidden by applying white stickers over the card.
